Battery powered closet lights

In closets, cabinets and other small cramped spaces, we could often use some light. One option is to have a flashlight always at the ready. Another to stick on or screw in small battery powered lights that turn on at the touch of a button. The advantage here is that it leaves both your hands free to find and to get whatever you are looking for. Of course, the disadvantage is that they require installation.

Two examples – I don’t find these types of fixtures very attractive, but I guess they would do the job:

Collapsible rolling garment rack

There are times when you may need a garment rack, but only temporarily – something that can easily be moved from place to place and then stored away. Fortunately, there are garments racks that fold up. They take up very little room in a closet, under a bed, or behind a large piece of furniture, and then when unfolded, they are as practical as any small garment rack.

I like this model because of its chrome look. It wouldn’t look too bad even if it wasn’t hidden in a closet, I don’t think:

Under-Bed Storage With Wheels

Though your bedroom closet may be so packed that there is no more room to fit anything else in there, you may have room under your bed. It is a space that is usually empty, and yet perfect for storage. Those items that we want to hold on to, but seldom need to look at – anything we use only occasionally – these are the types of things that can be stored under the bed. Storage units made especially for that space make the job easier.

Here’s a version that appeals to me because it actually looks nice. So if it happens to be visible from certain angles in the bedroom, at least it looks attractive:
